Strongy vs Tubby in CS showdown
Well folks the showdown we've all been waiting for:
The loud and sometimes annoying Strongy/Dante up against the Flabby Love Boy Tubs. These two had a CS showdown Wednesday night.
And we need to have ANOTHER 1 on 1 to find out the winner.
Tubby taking MAP1 (Assault) by a landslide; but Dante coming home HARD with the AWP in Dust2.
I think we'll have the play off this Friday night!

Biiiiig Weekend

Wow, what a heavy duty gaming weekend @ Revesby Net Cafe!
Friday night was party time, with Lilman locking down with his crew for a VIP lockin. Matter made up the numbers after a long absence..
Some tired eyes on Saturday, with lockin attendees and regulars taking a break. LUCKY, as we had a massive influx of people for the CS comp. Taken out by Jesse in a massive landslide win.
Godfather was at the helm for Saturday and the shop carried on till well after midnight with Benneh, Haynsy, Toysoldier, Matter and Others hanging around.
In other news, the shop has now been re-painted! Nice white paint now appears on the inside walls, and a whole new range of large posters including: TrueCrime, Fantasic4, WoW and Shrek2.
The new VIP headsets are going very well, and CS players are absolutely loving them
Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow (Sunday) for a killer DOTA comp.
Peace out!

Pete UK Update No.2
London is a big, and bustling place. Although the streetmaps look like its not much bigger than cambridge, thats because they don't put all the little streets in. So what would be a 20 minute walk across cambridge ended up being nearly an hour, and that was after cheating at the end and getting on the subway for the final 2 stops. There was a light at the end of the tunnel though, the light in Joe's eyes. Always happy, always energised and always browsing for eligable women, which London had them everywhere. Biggest thing (litterally) I've noticed after spending a week in Japan is that the women over here all have huge jugs! And when there is a hot day, they love to show them off. Which can be a bit hazardous, as there isn't much sun up here, so no one has a tan, so when they come out they're blindingly bright white. We ended up seeing some of the inner city like Oxford Circus (still not sure why they're circuses, I kept expecting to see a high wire act, or lions and elephants, but was always dissapointed), we had a drink at Liecster square, and observed a similar hen's night to one in sydney, in all their cheap crappy horns and pen1s-straws. The difference here though, is that the hen is increadibly active in grabbing guys and being quite forward with some (not with me (un)fortunately). Its like "oi, you can't do that .. oh sorry, didn't notice you were on your hen's night, carry on"The nightlife in the middle of London is like octoberfest, the crowds are thick, and pushy, and are often making their way to the queues hanging out the front of restaurant, which although are long, go suprisingly quick, and have service much nicer than a coffee shop that had more staff than patrons.Soho is the newtown of London, and situated right in the middle, so we went through there and were compelled to go into a bar called G.A.Y. by one of the other guys that came down from Cambridge. I've been a bit perplexed in the UK, as all the cute women are always with really ugly blokes. I'm probably not the best judge, but I call them as I see them. That night I found out where all the not so ugly blokes were - they were gay. Don't get me wrong, there were still a lot of ugly blokes in there, topping the list with the big black guy that sat in the bathroom handing out hand-towels and aftershave/perfume, who produced his nuckles and said "give me some skin" in his best B-A-Baraccas voice. I gave him some nuckles, but still didn't tip him for handing me a hand towel, he could've actually CLEANED the bathroom instead of sitting in the filth masking it with perfumes. I needed condom's for my shoes. Upstairs we finished our beers, got a few photos for proof (or blackmail) and went back into the night to a couple more bars before Joe split and went home with his GF and we met up with the other Aussies. This was when I found out about another wacky trick of London. The subway closes at midnight. Which means everyone that is still drinking, or misses the last train has to find other (much more expensive) ways home. So around midnight the crowds go from no elbow space, to "who farted?" as everyone quickly disperses down rabbit holes to get to the subways home. We ended up getting the last train back to our hostel where 3 of the sydney people were staying in a 5 bunk room. After scaling 5 floors of very steep stairs, we woke up our bunk buddies on entry and scrabled to our bunks. In the morning I vaguely remembered they were women, but didn't see more than eyes and foreheads and lumps in the bed could've been bags (I slept with mine). The girls got up early and cheerfully had a shower and were putting on their makeup when I finally decided to find the shower. The showers were like toilet cubicles except instead of a toilet underfoot there was a one inch puddle of water that all 4 showers ran into. Steeling myself and trying to find a place to put my watch and rings I went in. No communal soap and as I kept hearing footsteps go up and down the stairs, which my shirt and rings were I had a quick splash-and-dash. We didn't know we should've brought towels and the front desk were hiring them for 5 pounds ($15!!), so I decided to dry myself with my T-Shirt from the day before. This worked well, and I finished it off with the extra bedsheets that I didn't put on the bed the night before. And went down into the basement for communal breakfast of toast with red jam (no idea if it was strawberry or something else). We didn't have any plans for sunday except to take it easy and not have any plans, so we went for a wander through hyde park from north to south (much quicker than my previous day's west to east) and kept walking to checkout Harrod's shopping mall, which is renouned for being extremely expensive. I was relieved when we got there that it didn't open till 12 (2 hours later), so we ended up going to a nearby museum. Finding a bus map on the way we found out that there was a Natural and a Science museum on the next block, so we spent about an hour in each museum walking more and trying to keep the blood flowing to our feet. After that we were happy to have a quick seat in a subway then the train back to Cambridge, but there was trackwork on the direct link between us and Kings Cross station, so we had to go round. After getting on 2 wrong subway trains we were in a worse position than when we started, but a friendly trainguard put us back on track and we still got to KingsX before the fly-through train back to Cambridge. After going past lots of fields that had nothing but hay on them (no one produces anything in the UK except hay?) I knew I'd be home soon. Getting out of the train station it hit me that the buses didn't run on sundays. It was a 45 minute walk back to my appartment, which took over an hour as I took a wrong turn and went 15 mins in the wrong direction. Finally getting home I thanked the UK gods as there was friendly Top Gear on TV, its alwyas good at the end of the day to laugh at someone setting fire to a caravan.http://www.hostellondon.com/hosteldetails.php/HostelNumber.517 This is the hostel we stayed in. Not sure where they got the pictures from though, I don't remember it looking anything as good as that (except for the entry)

Peter In England

A message just through from Pete. His first day at work. Read about his adventures as he gets lost and breaks a fence. Peter writes below:
..... I found out today, that cambrdige is a small, and fragile place.I was planning on walking along the bus route to work and possibly jumping on a bus. It took me about half an hour to get to work, and I was between stops when I watched the bus go past.I had my trusty streetmap, and found that if I went down a side street it would get me to the industrial park, which bordered the business park I wanted to get to. Taking the shortcut I ended up walking down a long driveway which looked like it was heading straight to my building, it turned right and there was a small path through the light brush. Looks like someone had done this before. So I took it through, and it continued onto another path that ran paralel to a wooden fence, which on the other side was my building.I walked up the path a bit, but it didn't look like there would be a gate to go through, and where the fence was there was more prickly bushes. Finally I spotted a brace on the fence that looked like it could be climbed. Steeling myself and slinging my laptop over my suited shoulder I climbed up, broke the top of the fence off, and looking down in dismay at the mistletoe-like scrub on the other side. I came too far to turn back now, so with a mightly leap, I missed all the mistletoe and landed square on another small plant. A quick look around and then a brisk 100m walk to my work, all in time for my 8am meeting, which ... isn't on today. And none of the Sydney guys are in yet.At least I'm payed by the hour.

Latest News - Winners of the Week
Hey All.
This weekend was a busy one, alot of PCs were cleaned, spyware removed and drivers updated.
PC2 is now a gaming machine and we have started using the front desk for internet PCs.
Heffa took out the DOTA comp in a close one. Angus coming in second. GAV fed hard and Angus/Heff took advantage well. Strongy played OK, but couldn't take the lead towards the end.
A few peoples memberships are up for renewal and they have chosen to take GOLD memberships. We have raised the price of DRINKS and CHOCs by 10c each. BUT GOLD members keep getting the old prices!
Catch everyone soon.

Stronghold wins DOTA comp in a thriller! JKOR coming in a close second.
'Strongy' as he is affectionately called had a massive finish to the game and backdoored the opposite team hard.
Playing as Anti-Mage; he handled the enemy brilliantly. He fought off WickedAussie and JKOR all game and deserved to WIN ..
Well done Strongy, one of the best comp wins ever!
Don't forget membership renewals are due, and pass on your new details if we haven't got em already.
Peace Out - GOD

Weekend Review by GodFatha
Hey All,
Very busy weekend this one; starting with a DOTA fest on Friday night. Unfortunately, Collarbone / Mike failed to bring his promised clan members in and then made it worse by dragging many Lan members away to a Lazor zone noob fest somewhere. Hey Collarbone, thanx for all your help - N00b. Get a life man and stay away pls.
Saturday was pretty hectic, however we are looking to change the usual 1pm CS comp to a UT tournment now for something different. Stay tuned for more info on this.
Saturday night kicked into a LOCKIN fest, with Lilman's crew taking up positions for overnight gaming. Matter, Heff, Tubs, Haynsy, DJ, Toast, Bob, Denz, Loo Boys, Kingy, Hubb and Rocky... From all reports it was a good one. Nice going guys c u next time, sorry I couldnt make it.
Sadly Sunday, Jesse didn't do his shift - after he pulled a limited all nighter the nite before.. First time ever we have had a cancelled shift. Sad, but true. Thanks HEAPS to Denz for pulling out the big ones, and staying awake for 24 hrs to cover for Jesse. Also Haynsy, a big thanks also. For assisting Denz and showing him the ropes.
Sunday was also a busy one. And don't forget yearly memberships are up for renewal, as the Netcafe has been open for 1 whole year now. We are keeping yearly memberships at the $10, there will also be a GOLD membership of $20 - which gives you invites to all lockin events, complete website and forum access and listing on the GOLD member board within shop.
Peace Holla. GF

TEAM 2 Rogue, Hazzard, Lykon (Collarbone), Bob (KS'er), Gav.
In the end team 1 won the match, which was an unbelievable ending.

Stronghold in Fight at Netcafe!
Friday night was a hectic night at the Netcafe, just before we settled in for a huge lockin - a fight broke out between stronghold and rogue.
Three punches were thrown in all, Rogue connecting on all occasions. The last punch being a fiece one to Strongholds head, drawing blood for both fighters.
Not sure when we will have the rematch, but I think Stronghold will be keeping quiet for the next few weeks till he nurses himself back to full health.
The lockin was a great night, lots of DOTA played for hours on end. Pete Borg being the star of the night, winning DOTA against BIG NAME players such as: DENZ, TUBBY, HAYNSY
In other news ANDY BOY AKA ANGUS took out the CS comp in style. Well in man!
Catch you all soon, peace holla and all dat stuff.

DOTA GALORE!
A massive weekend of DOTA played this weekend!
Matt Giffney AKA Bob - went awesome in the comp and totally outplayed everyone.
With Tubby going badly in DOTA lately, and a few others like Haynsy, Vengeance and Denz not being around as much BOB is now the main man when it comes to DOTA.
Special mentions to Wicked Aussie, Strongwhore and Heffa who all played well.
With such huge interest in DOTA lately we are looking at setting up a ranking system, with everyone's position and weekly movements.
At this stage I would say rankings would be:
Bob
Wicked
Tubby
Heffa
Strongor
Matter
Rogue
Lilman
Seraphz
Catch you soon.
